Mr. Meier is an American Top Team (ATT) Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Ricardo Liborio (above); 7th Degree Red/ Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Co - Founder of ATT. Recently promoted, Flavio was given the distinct and rare honor of being awarded his instructors very own Black Belt from around his waist. This is not a common practice and has very deep meaning for both student and instructor. Flavio was both "surprised and overwhelmed" with appreciation.
Flavio is a traditionalist and was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. Recently Promoted to Black Belt by his first instructor, Ricardo Liborio, he began his training at the age of 10; first with Judo then Tae Kwon Do. Promoted to Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do (ITF) at the age of 17 he trained for a couple more years before he picked up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1995. Flavio is looking forward to getting back into Tae Kwon Do as well as take on the responsibilities of Head Jiu Jitsu/ Grappling Arts Instructor.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is offered on Tuesday and Thursday nights; 5:30-6:15PM for kids and 6:15-7:30PM for adults. Saturdays Classes are for adults and begin at 12:00PM. Please drop by for a free week of lessons and pass on the word to others who have a desire to learn this Art.
